Already four years ago, i have constructed an all aluminum equatorial platform for a friend. After several iterations, still with analogue electronics, it performed perfect tracking.

This is the four year old prototype. Still in use by a friend.
Up till now, there are nine platforms in the field. Testing went on, and all of them are now operated by their owners smartphone. This long testing period turned this construction into a very reliable astronomic gadget.
